Meet Jackson and Kiko!

Kiko and Jackson Bio:

**We adopt our dogs to families within 50 miles of our facility in Malibu, CA.  All applications are screened for compatibility with the dog of interest. We might ask for pictures of your home and yard.  If you are interested in being considered as a potential adopter, please fill out our online application

Kiko and Jackson are two Shih Tzus that came to us as bonded pair.  We don’t know if they are biologically related, but they lived with a woman who was unable to continue caring for them.  They were in and out of the animal shelter five times because their owner was being repeatedly hospitalized and didn’t have someone to care for them.  We are hoping to find them a loving forever home where they can continue to be together. 

Kiko (grey/black) is approximately 4 years old and weighs 15.5 pounds.  He is neutered and healthy and sweet.  He loves people and plays well with other dogs, but he does bark at other dogs that he passes while walking on leash or that pass by the yard.  

Jackson (white) is approximately 6 years old and weighs 16 pounds.  He is also neutered and healthy and sweet,.  He does have a deformed right elbow called “Angular limb deformity”. Our vet says he was born that way.  His left elbow has developed some degeneration probably from compensating for the right leg.  He needs a few days of anti-inflammatory medicine once in a while, but nothing extreme.  We are currently testing him for allergies because he was a bit itchy when we got him. That could have been the result of the lack of proper grooming he had recently.
